Built with AI — and tested by it

HirePDF was built by Claude Code for AutomationHire, reusing the PDF engine from HireSign. Claude then drove the real app like a user would: dragging pages around, splitting, merging PDFs with phone photos, compressing scans and opening every result to check it. It caught and fixed bugs along the way, including photos being skipped by compression and page numbers landing sideways on rotated pages. It's a working example of what AutomationHire builds for businesses.

Run HirePDF-Setup-1.0.0.exe.
If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway. This appears for new apps from small publishers that haven't bought a code-signing certificate yet.
Accept the licence and click Install. HirePDF opens from your desktop or Start menu, and you'll find Open in HirePDF when you right-click a PDF or photo.
Paste your licence key when you first open HirePDF: click the badge at the top right, paste, Activate. Just once per PC.

FAQ

Is it really just £1?

Yes — one payment, no subscription, no account, no adverts, no watermarks. You also get the Pro features free for your first 14 days.

What happens after the 14-day Pro trial?

HirePDF keeps working with everything in the £1 edition: merging, splitting, rearranging and photos to PDF. Compression, page numbers, watermarks and saving pages as pictures need Pro, which is £8.99 for £1 owners.

Are my documents uploaded anywhere?

No. Unlike online PDF websites, HirePDF runs entirely on your PC. Your contracts, bank statements and IDs never leave it, there's no file-size limit, and there's no account to create.

Does it change my original PDF?

No. HirePDF always saves a new file, for example Report (merged).pdf or Contract - pages 1-3.pdf, and never overwrites an existing file.

Can it open password-protected PDFs?

Not yet. If a PDF is locked, HirePDF tells you so — remove the password in the program that made it, then add it again.

Mac or Linux?

Windows only for now. Tell us if you'd like a Mac version.

Refund policy?

If HirePDF doesn't install or work as described on Windows 10/11, email hello@automationhire.co.uk within 30 days for a full refund.

What's included under open-source licences?

HirePDF uses Electron, PDF.js, pdf-lib and libheif. Their licences are in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt in HirePDF's install folder.
